Excursion to Washington - with Lunch
Leaving New York at approximately 6:00 PM, along our way to the capital we will cross the states of New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland to admire the different landscape. Arrival in Washington DC, the beautiful capital of the United States, our first stop will be at the Smithsonian Museum of Air and Space; then we'll go to lunch.  The White House ( not entered only see the exterior) here we stop to take photos ; continuing along Pennsylvania Avenue to see the offices of the Mayor's Office , FBI , the old post office building , the National Archives until the Capitol of the United States, the two chambers of the Congress of the United States . This wonderful building is an example of the American neo-classical architecture ; the first stage built was completed in 1800 determining a major tourist attractions of the city. Our journey continued to Arlington Cemetery in Arlington state of Virginia, this is a military cemetery established during the American Civil War on the grounds of Robert E Lee. Is located near the Potomac River in the vicinity of the Pentagon . Veterans of all wars are buried in this cemetery , from the War of Independence of the United States to military action in Afghanistan and Iraq. At the cemetery visit the grave of President John F Kennedy , who is buried next to his wife ; Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis and some of their children. Very close by is buried his brother , Senator Robert F Kennedy and now, is recently buried his other brother , Senator Edward M Kennedy. After our visit to Arlington Cemetery Virginia left the state to return to Washington DC across the Potomac River from Arlington Memorial Bridge . Our next point of interest will be the memorial of President Abraham Lincoln; and then the memorial to those who died in the Vietnam War and those who died in the Korean War . Each of these monuments has its particularity. Do not miss this part of the tour where walking more closely you will be able to admire the beauty of each one of them . At the end of this last tourist point we will return to the city of New York , arriving in the evening hours .
